Guthrie’s is a homegrown Catering and Food Service Company, established in Dallas, TX. Owner, Ben Johnson, had been in the food service industry on the side for several years, Helping friends with BBQ restaurants, local bars, Steak Fry at Texas Tech and events for family and friends.
While in commercial real estate, requests for his catering had become too much for part-time enjoyment. The desire to make a switch had become clear and made the decision to open the doors to Guthrie’s Catering Company in 2012. Ben gathered his chef buddies together to collaborate, then built a team to execute his vision of creating a “confidently-casual” approach to catering.

Ben and the Guthrie’s Team have created a unique program that believes in letting the food speak for itself. All menu items are created and produced in house. The menus are created with simplicity in mind, with short ingredient lists per recipe. “If you cannot see it or taste it, it should not be in the dish”.
